These clips are from the BBC: Horizon documentary series entitled "We Love Cigarettes". The advice Allen Carr gives is pretty damn good, it convinced me (a 5 year smoker) to quit cold turkey. It has been a couple months now and I'm still going strong.Update: It has been over one year since my last cigarette and I have never been tempted to look back. I really hope this simple advice has helped someone else.

Derek Jameson (wealthy newspaper editor) wrote the foreword to Allen Carr's book in which he stated that having read it, he would never touch a cigarette again. Six months later there was a photo of him in the daily mirror at his daughter's wedding with a cigarette in his hand. I believe Allen Carr died of lung cancer.

1. When I first smoked a cig, I felt lightheaded...didn't feel anything else...taste wasn't great either...2. Any amount of cigs you smoke is harmful for your body.3. I smoked because its addictive. I started about 5 years ago...I was 20 back then...I'm 25 now...4. Yes, it has alot of negative effects to my health...I can't breathe easily...I sweat more...I can't think clearly...I think the cigs have a negative effect on your brain...

4)I have been smoking 20 cigs a day for 5 years now (13/18) and I really feel it has influenced my health. I used to have great endurance, now i cant swin 2 laps, cant run longer than 20 minutes.( of course , i stopped all sports , and drink a bit too much lol)PS:Smoking 5 ciggs a week isint dangerous , but i can garante you that you wont be able to only smoke that many. it goes VERY QUICKLY!
