Quite simply the best song ever written, sung by the best singer in the best band in the world. The words are fantastic "so you hold your mother, you bless the air with the tears of the immigrant, tongue of the Gael, stunning!!!. I have been a runrig fan since about 14 (1985) and lost touch a bit with them when Donny left, but just have to have my fix of "the Cutter" every now and then, it's a song that will never leave me, nor do I want to ever forget.

Just like AC-DC thry were Great with Donnie and there still great with Bruce..Do we in the islands really understand just what a good band they are?Because ive just woke up to them a few years ago, and i never liked them because they were local!What an IDIOT!!!

I think I was at this gig - Barras Dec 88 or 89. It was recorded for a TV special. The previous year was recorded for the Once in a lifetime live album. Am I right?
