While I partly agree with you (PJ is definetly the most inspired female musician out there, and also my favorite musician of all time), I still advise you to take a look at some other female musicians of her caliber: Bjork, Patti Smith, Lucinda Williams, Erykah Badu, Neko Case, Sleater-Kinney, Siouxsie Sioux, etc. I don't disagree with you entirely, I just think you're over-generalizing a bit

MattyD794, I couldn't have said that better myself. So well spoken, my friend. Anytime I want to feel inspired, I listen to this song. So sad all female artists now are so cookie cutter. And if they are unique, they had to have bit Polly Jean's style a bit.

PJ aint underated, she just isn't pop. I don't think she cares as she has made more than enough to make what she likes. I saw who with crowds of about 10000 1 time. This song is a favourite of mine and she is smokenly sexy in intrigueing. Great sounds. :-)

PJ Harvey is one of those artists who are sadly underrated and obscure. She's a genius. A true pioneer and a brillant guitarist. So few people even know who she is nowadays. It's sad. I've been a fan since 95' & she's never given me a reason to stray. |
