brilliant singer-songwriter....I worked at Piccadilly Radio in Manchester back in the day and there was a DJ called Robin Ross who supported acts like Mark Germino....Germino supported the Everly Brothers at the Manchester Apollo and he was totally brilliant....memories of a great night....can anyone tell me what happened to Mark Germino?

The anthem to all DJ's who crave to exist as an individual. A prophetic view of the dash to networking and bland superpower radio groups we now have in the UK. I am weekend freelance jock on a small town station hearing this song again makes it all seem worth it.

Got this song on a CD single about 15 years ago. Absolutely amazing. I prefer it a bit quicker. Still have it on my Ipod. Thanks

Awesome song. For all the jocks whose career was ruined by "the suits". F****** A********.In the UK this song is about the pratts at GWR group who overnight ruined radio forever. Prefer the slightly different version of this song as it has more atmosphere, but whatever, this puts into words the feelings of so much creative air talent. As a jock with 20 years experience I always felt that the "suits" upstairs were envious and jealous of our talent and so had to take controk. Dickheads!!

hi i'm slighty confused i thought this songs was about the midnight cowboy Roger Schutt? who when the radio station was telling him what to play he barricaded himself in and played what he wanted to play.

Haven't heard this song in ages. Great to hear it again it's never played on Irish radio any more .
