Apollo 10's command module, inside of which were astronauts Thomas Stafford, John Young, and Eugene Cernan, hit 24,830 miles per hour at the point of commencing re-entry. This works out to be around 6.9 miles/second.Light is still 27,000 times faster ;).

watching this makes me wonder that maybe the term "size" doesnt exist and if it should exist then size is as infinite from small to big.nothing is never to big or never to small....funny how you cant imagine the smallest thing possible when we humans compared to a galaxy we practically disappear.hopefully the day we die we shall understand everything...would be nice to travel all across the universe before going to where ever it is we go when we die...even if it means to vanish for all eternity

there is another intellenget life form out there. the vastness of the universe is beyond our comprehension, and god forbid even if we did find one of the probaly many out there i dont want to think what will happen. We have enough trouble getting along with ourselves let alone another life form
