Im not trying to put down the enfield or anything but im hearing how smooth the bolt action is and I can cycle a round faster with my 91/30 =/

dawnninjawolf (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
I highly doubt that it is smoother than a K98 but you sound sincere and maybe It is in much better condition than the one I am talking about but I would still prefer something smoother!

Come work mine, much smother than a K98... by far
dawnninjawolf (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
I have WORKED the action of a WW2 Enfield and I will tell you the action is about as smooth as a cheese grater compared to the K-98 or Arisaka!

Maybe the indian ones, but the actual WWII enfields are very high quality and smooth.

I have no idea what you are talking about? The Enfield does not have a clumsy action. I can easily sling more lead on target than my friends can with their new Mauser style bolts, ie. Winchester, Savage, Remington. Not bad for a rifle that may have been in combat at one point in its life and is pushing 70yrs.old. My only complaint is that when I go to the store for ammo I'm lucky if they have 2 boxes in the joint, and my friend can buy his .270 rounds for more than half the cost per box of 20. |
