You just have to go with it man. Ride the Tom Waits hydra or fall in line with the rest of the world's perfect sense. Sometimes things don't have to make sense in order to be brilliant, which is often why they are in fact just that. It made perfect sense to me, an intelligent masterpiece. Try watching the video blindfolded with the volume turned off. This may unlock the mystery for which you are searching. Good luck!

It's an act...and it's brilliant. I love it. I love Tom Waits. Saw him at the Atlanta show and it was the most amazing thing I think I'll ever see.
