I think you are expting too much. They wrote the song, they write what they want. I think that you need to have your own little custom lyrics made for you. They didn't write it for you.

I can understand the interest in this band especially consider the crap that passes for music these day. However the lyrics for this song are pure crap. I looked up the lyrics because of the title of this song. I was hoping to find some clever albeit socialist lyrics about the 80s, instead I find "The glistening of make-up helps to construct a better clown". Now I know kids of every generation rarely pay attention to lyrics but I was hoping for more. Especially considering they invoke the 80s.
