i personally think beckham was at one time a good soccer player, but then when he got the hype he has now has he became more of a celebrity and less of a soccer player... although alot of people dont like beckham i dont mind him hes just thinking about himself he makes his money and does his thing... i do think he has a superb free kick tho

Before coming to America, I didn't have too much of a problem with him. Of course I didn't love him, but when the media found out that he was coming to America, he turned into an overhyped celebrity. I bet you if someone like Frank Lampard or Thierry Henry made the switch to America, the media wouldn't care. He's not that great to be all over the media. He's just an overhyped pretty boy and guess what...LA galaxy still suck.

LOL.....i know he's a footballer....but he's a great one because people and his fellow piers admire his charisma, class, and determination.......Which is what distinquishes him from others......Yes he hasn't got spectacular skills or much of the sort but nevertheless he brings Hope to the side and he always give 110% in everything....which is something people look upto...

Beckham is too famous for what he really is. Some people consider him as a Hollywood star although he is just a football player.
