It occurred to me to search for Dan Fogelberg's music on youtube, and I am almost regret it since I found out he died at 56. I remember in my twenties I had a cassette of his music and played it quite a bit. The one song that always stuck out for me from that tape was "Ghosts". It was a beautiful, haunting-no pun intended-piece. The song dealt with memories that still linger like ghosts in our past. Dan's music is like that, always lingering in my thoughts with his superb lyrics and voice.

I love it. Makes you cry if you understand it.

It's all about falling in love for the first time and how that feeling can never be replicated. Those who marry their first love are the luckiest people. Most of us aren't that lucky.

Why did this guy have to die so young? Souvenirs is one of my favorite albums. Such beautiful songs.

I cried the first time I heard this song. I think everyone can relate to this song in some way. It's just universal.

He actually based this on something that happened in his own life. So sad that he lost her twice.
