MMA is a sport you tools. In a real fight MMA is going to lose against a real fighter. Get over this BS. It's a fucking sport and not real.

my point is im 40 years old and when you get older you learn to accept things and know you cant change much. getting angry is for young men. when I was in my prime the first ufc came out and it changed alot. did it stop bad schools or myths? no. is there still a room full of people here who believe one man can beat 40 good men or kill bulls or that bruce lee can beat any mma? sure there is. will a bad school still have a room full of students and make money? sure they will.

most of us regret the time "wasted" unless you view it as part of the learning system to weed out the garbage. most of us wish we had someone "in the know " like we are now that could save us the wasted time and say "do this" or "do that". in most cases like mine we started at 12 and our moms didnt know fighting from break dancing. people will always be there to rip others off for money, martial arts is no diffrent. its hard to deal with and I agree they should be stoped, but they wont.

the thing with bad schools is this. as long as their are smoke screens where a kid goes to a free class and the "master" throws a willing helper or 2 around and has his son jump 8 feet in the air in front of you and has a full room of happy guys who get belt advances often enuff to make them think they can fight, and maybee you get to try a fake piece of "baby" wood or have a wall full of trophies (probably from trumped up fake tourneys with a few similar fake schools) bad schools will exist.

theres always people who just like what they do and others who say theirs is best. its like me with my harley, I love it and ride knowing a hyabusa could outperform me in every way. but youll have a guy with a fast harley or even a fast car that says he is the fastest. reality is if your on a hyabusa or ninja zx14 your not gonna helplessly watch anyone pass you unless you let them. most know the deal. most know the deal with mma as well. a fighter who is well rounded isnt helpless at any point.

I do exactly what you are saying in my own yard and I do wish this would happen freely in schools as well. then even the guys who just break wood and take hits to the throat because they enjoy being able to do it end up learning things they otherwise would never be exposed to. some people actually dont think their art is the "best" but just enjoy what they can do or have cultural reasons. striking has a use and all arts are good self defense against a mugger but yes some schools are almost fake.

legit tma schools should team up with mma. a street oriented class in an mma gym has so many advantages over a self contained dojo. we could learn from each other. this is already happening. the rift needs exist between different levels in training intensity. we may have diff goals but good tma schools have the most in common with their neighboring mma gym.but make no mistake, mma fighters are more diversely skilled and more dangerous than anyone one out there.so long as there are no weapons

im gonna go out on a limb cause I dont know you, im gonna guess from things youve said in the 6 months ive been posting here.... at your level you arent going to be fooled. no one is going to take 150 a month from you and make you switch stances, shoulder roll for an hour, kick some wood or whatever. I know youve been there. the thing is you cant stop the worlds evils. there will always be false confidence builders who hand out stripes or belts to keep students happy and keep money coming in.

im in the new york area (north new jersey). ceratin things you bring up will cause bad statements to be made. I know you want people to have compassion for why he doesnt focus on mma but believe me some wont. if youve never had these arguments before you may not be aware of the places these discussions will go. its more respectful and way better to base arguments on skill and technique like I do. I respect rickson and believe he was the greatest fighter on the planet at one time.
