One payer system is the only way to go. Private health insurance is a private tyranny that only exists in United States. It's a rather barbaric system that tells you you're health is only worth what you can afford.People in United States should get behind, and support, HR 676. If you don't know what it is learn about it! GM & Ford are going bankrupt because of the rising cost of health care. If United States had single-payer system, the companies wouldn't have to worry about it.

The thing is if you want private healthcare you are free to buy it anybody else should have free healthcare. Its not perfect in England but as Tony Benn said if they tried to change it there would be a revolution.

I was just comparing national debt and noted that the current U.S. debt is at 10.3 Trillion dollars and climbing while the Canadian national debt is at 720 billion dollars and falling. So universal health care doesn't appear to be causing Canada any fiscal harm.

to force a national health service in U.S.A., have everyone drop your private health insurance plans, order pharmacuticals abroad, and just pay for medicare, medi-cal, and social security. if you die, give your money to your family, not these vultures, since your death means millions to them. remove or vote-out public officials that are supported by HMOs, private insurance companies, and pharmacuticals. start a local petition demanding a universal health service in your city.

The funniest thing is that US media sells corporate faschism as "freedom". You have the most corrupted IMMORAL and antihuman healthcare system yet you love it? To answer your question, thousands of people go to Russia, Canada etc to by medicine at a fraction of the US cost. Freedom to choose between evil and evil-that's what you have in US.
