How Pathetic.What sort of person thinks using nuclear weapons is cool!? You use these weapons when NOT doing so will cause more people to be killed by conventional means.For my money, It seems that hardliners in the US, Iran, Israel are perfectly content to sabre rattle their way into a nuclear exchange, to do what,exactly?Learn whatever lessons are taught by the irradiated and unburied dead,perhaps? Well, it's important to remember that if the bomb had NOT been dropped at Hiroshima/ Nagasaki, the Imperial Japanese Army was perfectly content to watch the US Bomber Command conventionally bomb 65 OTHER cities, rather than surrender. An invasion would have lasted another 2-3 years, the USSR certainly would have occupied Hokkaido & probably part of the main island & at least 2-3 million additional people would have died. As horrific as it was, it is the definition of a Faustian bargain.
