I never mentioned the word freedom. I took your statement of "we should make everything legal" and stated that this would cause absolute chaos. In case you have not noticed, not everyone in the world is rational enough to make sound, moral judgments. Without any laws what so ever, anarchy would occur, hence the very reason law exist. They are preventive measures for the most basics faults in life. Secular or not, majority of the human race follows the 10 commandments even without knowing.

What don't you understand. You asked about the why of law, I responded by stating what laws purpose is, the prevention of affecting people who don't want to be. I provided an example. IE drunk driving. You used euthanasia as an example, I stated that it should be legal and why. I did then state my belief in absolute freedom, but freedom is not anarchy; that kinf od statement is one commonly used by Communists and Fascists alike to defend their refusal of peoples freedoms.
