I can't believe how stupid this is! He's using Camtasia to make a video about how Video Brander doesn't work when you can brand a video with Camtasia! Get permission/do a screen capture of the damn video and add a hyperlink! Oh and you can create watermarks with Camtasi too. Now that Camtasia 5 is out version 4 is a free download.Use your brain dude!

But it's easy to convert any avi or wrm video to a swf (and still do it with free software). I am always learning new things everyday, so videos that review scripts and software are always stuff I dig.Would be good if someone shows a good way to 'WATERMARK' videos. I'd love to put my own "branding" on useless videos I make. lol

I too tried to enter all kinds of urls from different sites and they all were my own videos but it just won't download them giving me all kinds of errors.

Hi. Apart from all that, and speaking as a software engineer here, the fact that it suffered an exception at all is appalling, but the fact that it failed then to recover properlyis utterly inexcusable!

I will tell you exactly why Affiliate Video Brander does not work:1. It is designed to work with SWF videos only. Since FLV is the new standard of flash video and SWF is being used less and less the software fails to work with most videos.2. It wont work on "streaming" videos... or videos hosted on an actual "streaming" server.3. It will work on plain ole fashioned swf viddeos that are embedded directly in the webpage progressive download style but that is about it.

Hi. I know it won't work. My video proves it! However it seems to me that it would be a very useful thing for this sort of product to do (i.e. build a video sales page that utilises somebody elses bandwidth). Fortunately, in all the circumstances, I have never used AVB 1, but I believe it came with that functionality. Perhaps someone can confirm that for me? If this is the case, why is this ability absent from version 2?

Hi Jim, I don't think a youtube embed html will work. What I am saying is when I entered the url of a site, the software was able to extract the video from the site and brand it.I tried it with my own video and a video I had permission to brand.

Hi Rangoo3. Thanks for your comment. "The person" is me - Jim Hunt. The video has been cut to fit into YouTube's 10 minute limit, and the quality has been reduced by YouTube's processing. There is a longer, clearer version over on Yahoo! video - There you will be better able to see that I first enter a YouTube URL, then a Google URL, and finally the YouTube embed HTML to which you refer.

I was also not able to brand YouTube videos. But I could brand my own videos and videos I had permission to brand. In this video there is a mistake in entering the details. If you observe carefully, instead of entering the url, the person enters the whole syntax with height, width, etc. And that is why, I think, the branding failed.
