I can honestly say I didn't care for through the wire. The flow was ok, the delivery was weak. Kanye is hot right now, but he has not reached the production of Babu, Primo, Dre, Rza; those are elite producers. He is more on the Timbaland level. I'm a true hhip hop head and have been for over 20 years. Paid In Full, Criminal Minded, Illmatic, those are classics. Do you really think Kanye is anywhere near that level? I'm not saying he's not talented, just nowhere near elite.

are you comparing producing and Nas's ability to rap? if so, then you need to know the difference.

u may be right... like median, or lupe or consequence, and so on... but kanye is still hip hop. Hes a mega producer of hip hop right now also. produces a lot of common stuff. He probably helped make this beat matter of fact. and dog u can't tell me that u didn't feel "threw the wire"? shit is a classic hands down (R&B as well as hip hop) everything about that song was dead on. Even the video did justice 4 that song. Am I right or not?

I think Kanye's on the track because he's the best thing of the 2000's. He will be a legend!
