This is a great clip from CNN where Senators from around the country are bitch slapping the big 3 auto CEOs who are begging for our tax dollars to bail them out. The corporate jet questions are the best. What CNN didn't cover which would have been great to post, was the follow-up question that the Senator who dinged them on the corporate Jet asked. He said to all 3 of them, "you have all closed plants in Indiana and Missouri and moved them to Mexico and Canada, are any of you by a show of hands asking for a bail out package from any of those countries ?" "Let the record show that no hands went up." LET THEM FAIL !

American cars are all about materialism not reliability. American innovations are about how big a car can be and another convenient way to adjust seatings and electrically adjust a rear view mirror thats already close to the driver. It seems the many rap videos and the movie Transformers wasn't enough advertisementto raise sales.

Remove the management and let the workers take over so they can start building the electric plug-in, hybrid, and alternate fuel models with public proved independent vendors. Either profit or not, put the new generation products to auction basis until they reached various mature stages, then allow their evolve into open source standard for the various markets.

Wow, just learned the divorce rate in America is declining at a rapid pace ... SO LETS BAIL OUT THE MONEY-GRUBBING DIVORCE LAWYERS WHO USED TO LIVE HIGH-ON-THE-HOG LIKE THE AUTO WORKERS DO !

Maybe not in one term, however someone has to start some where to fix this mess. Bush sure did a good job, (lack of the better word) fucking up the economy for everyone in the U.S.

The main problem is financing. More banks are pulling out of the auto industry due to the poor economy and making it more difficult for the average person with good credit to get a loan. Let's say if your score is 700 which is very good. Banks will now say that is not good enough you will have to have 750 or above to finance a car or truck. I think that someone has to reason with the these loan companies to save U.S. jobs and put American engineering back on the map again.
