did you get this menu to work so that it links to a different scene? I haven't been able to figure out how to do it. Thanks, the code from beefjerkee23 doesn't work for me.

Can anyone help me I get stuck at exactly 11 minutes of this video. I try adding action to the contact menu but when I try it says "current selection cannot have actions applied to it" please help me I have tried over many times and can't get it right. :[

yo believe me, this is the worst way to create a dropdown menu, there is a faster way to create one without masking.

very very helpful but i have a question for the mask part around 14:40 ok well what i am wondering is instead of making the new layer couldnt i just actionscript the things around the dropdown to do on(rollOut){ gotoAndPlay(1)}well i dont kno how to do that since im sure that just puting 1 is ganna hve probs taking you to very first frame but could i make it take you to the first frame of that layer and how would i do thatThanks

I have the same problem I am not using FlashCS3 and having a complete problem with the roll over and being able to click into a button to manipulate the roll on, over, etc controls,If it helps any i am using a mac

great tut but my concern is when i made the drop down buttond they appear in the state of "over" automatically which means it shows as darker and it doesnt change the colour when rollover can you guid me please
