Marvellous rendition!!! LOVE the full-blooded, full-bodied harmonies of your talented group. Why not make an album of folk songs? The only "weak" aspect of the piece was the unison singing - it didn't quite "work" in this piece for some reason.

Any CD compilation of Stan Rogers' Greatest Hits will contain this masterpiece of folk music. Stan was one of the greatest modern folk composers in any country - his brother, Garnett Rogers isn't bad either!!

It's great to hear male voices singing a male song. Of course, it's "testosterone-driven", do your detractors listen to the lyrics? Keep working on the blending and you're there.

How Awesome ! Beautiful and Sad Song. Well done fellas !As a child, I enjoyed my father belting this song out to me before bed every night for a period of time. He'd have Stan Rogers singing backup. In addition, he'd shared with me the story that inspired the song. That created some memorable times growing up ! Thanks for the memories !How serendipitous ! I went looking for this song on U-tube tonight, exactly 2 years from the day you sang this.Great job ~ Thanks for the classic nostalgia.

Absolutely wonderful. I am sending this to a friend who teaches high school vocal music and is in charge of the Concert Choir in a high school. Who knows, he might put it in a program full of Bach and Handel |
