Hextall is the man. Noone in the NHL now has the balls to do what he did. Thats the way hockey is supposed to be played, its supposed to be a physical sport none of this gay shit where if your stick touches an apposing player then its hooking. I wonder what Hextall thinks of the new NHL.

Growing up a Penguin fan I hated Hextall, although you can't deny his pure talent and guts. He was definately old school and everyone wanted him wearing your sweater. Very good video.

Well put! Potvin did have a number of years on Hextall but I can't imagine what he must have been thinking seeing Hextall sprint down the ice with him in his cross hairs. With that, Hextall took it too him in the beginning of the fight. He could have just packed it in then but he hung in there and gave it back to him in the end of the fight. He definitely deserves credit for standing toe to toe with him and holding his own! |
