Hi pre10dr:Originally my intent was to show just how fast it was.. But it seems people would rather just know how, and not watch the whole process.. In the future episodes, I will be changing this.

Hi rancid2008:Its movie magic.. J/K I'm using a Virtual Machine on a computer with 8gb of ram.. This also allowed me to show the process very fast since the Virtual "drive" was only 5 gb.In the future I'm thinking of doing a episode on virtual machines..

Hi Phschris1:No you can do this on your current install.. Without wiping the drive... It could take sometime to work though all 60 gb depending on the type of encryption you use.

why do we have to wait for the encrpytion? just cut this to a min wait time of 10 secs.

I have a 120 gig HD with approx. 60 gb used...if I do this encryption it will encrypt my current files too, right? I don't have to wipe my Hard Drive before doing this do I?

how does the computer boot so fast??
velvethandofdarkness (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@explore500:That's why you make *back ups*, regardless if you use drive encryption or not. Also, TrueCrypt allows for the option of using CD/DVDs.
