Yay, great. If only life was as easy as this. Big silly grin from a big stupid person. You have nothing to apologise for.

Apology accepted. I apologise for taking my frustration out on the wrong person +smiles+ ah peace at last +wink+

lilgurlost, you know, after all the bloodshed and broken grieving families, what as been achieved?I have nothing against Ireland or a want or need for an apology from the British government; seems such a small want for such an history.I was just winding up people who where calling me stupid (punch where you know it's going to hurt). This was totally wrong, I apologise to you and anybody else offended at my comments.

I can imagine. I know how these things go. Im not even going to get into the politics of it all. I have my opinions & you have a right to yours. Im simply making the point that not once, not ever has there been a formal apology from the British government. I'm barely in my 30s & I remember the troubles so ancient history it isnt. Im aware that theres been victims on both sides. But as is so often pointed out, the IRA, terrorists, what was done to the Irish was done by a recognised government.

lilgurlost, I'll tell you. An Australian women (blame her) said, speak English honey or clearly, something like that. I defend the singer, mention something from about British isle emmarudd, said she was from Ireland and it all went down hill from there, just go back a page or two on the comments. You guess is as good as mine how we ended up here

I never said whining B***, but a lot of the troubles in northern Island are or where caused by the minority. As far as i'm aware the British troops where originally sent into northern Ireland to protect Irish Catholics. In addition, independence was offered to de Valera and was rejected twice i believe. To my knowledge, Black America's did not go around killing there own, men or women. After House and Woods murder, what sympathy I had for the Irish cause, and i did, disapeard into thin air.

Now can someone tell me what the fuck the song has to do with all the below shit anyway. What does any friggin statement about "Land Mass" have to do with anything. Who even uses the word land mass. Im sure if I read on I might find out but to be honest I couldnt be arsed. The Cranberries are Irish & from the republic at that, Limerick to be precise. I say all this not because Im adding to some pathetic debate but because they make me proud to be from a city that gets far too much bad press.

Voice of reason. Im Irish but Im not anti British nor do I hold anything against the British en-masse. I think you'll find that the real issue here is the sheer lack of remorse from the English government for centuries of torture & abuse at their hands. Its easy to say forget it, its ancient history but I think you'll find its alot more current than lets say slavery in the states. Can you imagine the outcry if Afro Americans were to be called a race of whining bastards who need to get over it?
