In the heightened sense awareness created by LSD, she may have connected to an intelligence, or awareness, that permeates all things. She may not have been hallucinating at all but, rather, become aware of the hot dog's consciousness and placed her own understanding of consciousness upon it. That being said, she murdered that poor hot dog after hearing it's screams, and it begging for it's life. Sheesh! What a bitch.
