Even though I don't know what she sings, I still feel that this is a good piece of music :)

Surely Freni was channeling an angel from heaven when she sang this... Few other artists have combined the beauty of vocal tone and expressiveness that she always delivers. If you, like me, are moved to tears by the sheer beauty of her "high float" try listening to her Act I entrance in the Butterfly recording with Pavarotti (circa 1976-1980).

ahh, so moving and tragic. Freni's ideally suited to this role.

i think Domingo insisted on Katia R because of her look, she is a REAL blonde, and Italian like Desdemona. She has great teeth too too!

I soooo agree!!!! (But Freni, no Te Kanawa)

totally agree on the why did he choose Kattia... man and we expect to teach the public to love opera without putting the best on film when we film them? wierd |
