I wonder why B.B. King swears by Joe then. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm... I'd say he's not an insult if was brought up by the King himself. Just my opinion.

He's not playing the blues, just something that sounds like it. He's a wonderfully gifted copycat. And, in that sense, I do enjoy it for what it is - I have all his albums. But it ain't the real thing.

Lesia34....I suppose you want him to play out of tune and time....then he'd be "authentic"?Joe's really a rock guitarist who delves into the blues realm. His stongest influences are obviously Cream-era Clapton, Gibbons, Page etc...not Muddy Waters and Son House. Just enjoy him for what he is instead of worrying about being "true to the masters".
