I am a Firefighter and I do not consider myself a hero, what I do know is that if you life is in danger I will risk mine to save yours even if you are a thankless asshole. As for Dodd I do not support him as this is a stricly political endorsement that does nothing to protect my country from the evils of big government.

Do you know why guys lift weight all the time? Its so when the time comes they can do their job. I think what you wrote here just shows a complete lack of respect for people who do a job that they might not make it home from. As for a paycheck. Have you ever seen a firemen's paycheck? Its brutal! to be quite honest. Thats the reason why most work a second job. I'd like to see you lay it on the line for someone you don't know.
