Hmmm, could be. Either way, what matters is that a grievous injury was dealt to the poor guy and the is just terrible to happen to anyone in any situation. Glad to hear that he recovered.

He is holding his legs with his armpits hugging them just above the knees. At 3:44 he is in position to just sit back and go for an ankle lock but he chooses not to. 3:46 He chooses to make effort to bend the guy further to the side and extend his neck then he steps over the guys head and sits thrusting his hips forward to crank his neck and back in a very bad way. That extra step over the guys head shows intent in my opinion. 3:45 Watch again with this in mind.

Was he actually holding anything? Seems to me like the guy on the bottom just has his legs locked around the other guy's waist, I don't see the other guy holding on to much... I dunno. *shrugs*

I disagree. He was holding his knees not his ankles. There is no leglock from that setup besides an ankle lock and he wasn't going for the ankle.

Looks to me like he was going for a leglock there, but who knows for sure. I'd assume he didn't win for doing this, so I don't see why he WOULD do it on purpose.
