Everything he's saying is true music invokes behavior in people the very nature of life is sound it resonates though all things and creates reality. Every cell in the body vibrates at a frequency, matter, protons neutrons and electrons resonate frequency, quantum harmonics. I thank you as well. I strongly agree with you also on the lack of (haha) "Afrikan Kulcha", coming from strong roots of the Santeria/Macumba Religion which stems deeply into African lines, there are unlimited misconceptions. Aside from that I believe that the lack of education is the main culprit here. With education one can filter out these subliminal symbolisms. But I believe music is beautiful both negative and positive. I like your philosophy hiddendudu, care to be friends?

Delve deeper, why do you worship an Egyptian god by saying Amen at the end of christian and muslim prayers. while there are many names, some names are controlled by man. Thanks for the reply. Firstly i agree with you 'there are other factors not spoken of here'. However, the one that he is addressing, as the title suggest! is HIP HOP and SUBLIMINAL SYMBOLISM! Think its 1. a lack of understanding of the 'Afrikan Kulcha' 2. an assumption that music doesn't really have an effect. understand this; within African science, tones, music can be used for healing! mind, body and soul. light frequencies too, acupressure also. everything is everything to melanated beings.

I understand my comment may have had sounded like it had some alignment and also I stand corrected when you said if it really is an art form. But the very little that is not censored by the FCC is not even all that offensive. My point of view of this speech is that he is trying to blame something that happened to him or close to him on something else when truth is it could've been a combination of numerous others. The fact he blames the problems of his community on music I believe is wrong.

Whilst i take that you have no side: Your comment aligns, you statement has a side. You are not thinking from a historical significance! music is used in African culture to transmit cultural values PERIOD... no ask yourself what is music saying. I understand your 'artform' argument, but its a tad superfical. see what content is allowed to surface in the media, see what content is not allowed to surface. It is not public demand. It is corporate control. the artform is controlled (is it art?)

FOREWORD: I take no side with this comment.What this man is doing piecing together his point of view. In other words he'll take one thing, piece it with another that supports his reason & builds from there. Whether it is hip-hop or not he doesn't recognize that all music is an art form. Instead he talks about how rap music injects violence and materialism into the youth. The same were said about Elvis Presley, James Brown, The Beatles, etc. This man is using rap music as a scape goat.
