Try to imagine playing all 27 variations from beginning to end, with no mistakes and perfect tempo. And without sheet music, All by memory. Gould was the kind of man who could do that. We could probably count on one hand all the people alive today who could do that. The vastness of his talent is staggering. But I still worship bach the most, because, hes compositions are my connection with the higher God, and not some Christian middle man.-D

All of these variations are hard to pull off with anywhere near this level of perfection but 7:14 ... DAMN!!
