True, j.t does give the niners the best chance to win, but he has the worst pocket awareness that I have ever seen, he can make all the nfl throws but he keeps putting our defense in shitty situations and i see j.t like a double edge sword we need him to win but he can easily lose games for us so we cant bench him, i just hope martz can fix his turnovers, because smith was never as bad as j.t in the pocket but j.t is way better than smith in this offense

-Sure JT's fumbles, but he's moved the offense more than Alex Smith did the whole year last year. -JT holds the ball too long, like Smith, but at least he knows how to make the throws. -Smith has fundamental problems as a QB no matter what offense or reciever. -Smith holds the ball too long as well and overthrows the recievers by 3 yards. -Smith either throws the ball 1 sec too late or 1 sec too early because he waits for his reciever to be completely open while staring them down.

Im not trying to defend alex smith but J.T was in Mike Martz's offense for a whole year last year, so he had a leg up on alex smith and shaun hill, second the niners WRs sucked ass for the last few years, year 1 we had brandon lloyd as our number 1, year 2 we only had Bryant then he was suspended by stupid nolan, year 3 battle was our #1, this year we finally have legit WRs, and J.T is taking advantage of it, but J.t sucks dick now, smith never fumbled the ball as bad as j.t is doing now

Alex Smith was below average to mediocre at best under Norv Turner.Gotta love the Alex Smith apologists, an excuse for his every failure. LOL.IE. It's not Alex Smith's fault, it's somebody else (the coaches) and not the player himself. (Ryan Leaf agrees!!!)

That's false, the GM stated that the only way Smith returns is IF Smith were to be the STARTER going into the 2009 season, and it's obvious that won't be the case because the guy was just put on IR and O'Sullivan beat him out for the job. And even for less money, why the hell would a team want to bring back a QB that has put the SF franchise 21 steps back and has taken a bunch of money from them with little production, and he's injury prone. Please tell me why they would do that?

dude they said that on there site aite? if u read it....which clearly say if smith wants to come back thats a IF he has to RECONSTRUCT his contract to less money...if he doesnt he CAN LEAVE...so really its up to smith if he want less money to stay or more to leave...
