very easy beginning deck... get the goblin vs. elf duel decks... it's $20. play against someone, pick either the goblin deck or the elf deck (i personally LOVE the elf deck), and build on it. take some cards out, put more cards in till you get a good mana curve/strategy behind your deck... good luck =]

ok i wanna start playing MTG but what them deck do i choose for a beginner?

Sorry, to further continue, it's not purely because of convienience, but rather for less card advantage. You say that it's so that you have something if it's not a turn 1 win, but ornithoptor will give you another chance to have the right card.
eggs4ever (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Why aren't you just using an ornithoptor instead of llanowar/spirit guide?

No you won't deck out because you are not drawing cards, you are revealing them. The cards are technically still in the library as you reveal them. And you do not need to hit another land to activate the second effect, you just simply run out of cards then once you've done everything you possibly can do the effect triggers. Remember revealing a land is not part of the price of the ability but just a way to limit the cards you reveal. With no lands you simply reveal all your cards. |
