The Cryer Woman
Patricia BonaniThe Cryer woman, 2003Video animation, 1'23"" The Cryer woman " is an experimental project, that appeared from the association of the video with another artistic manifestation, in that case is the drawing, allowing the expansion of the creation's visual field for beyond the static image. In the case of this animation, the music "La Llorona" interpreted by Lila Downs, was the reference to create a animation in which could privilege the dramatical character of the song and to try to transpose this dramaticitly in the drawing. The music here, does not only act as soundtrack, but is it who considers a rhythm to the drawing. The use of this type of media, associate to the use of the technology and computer science, allowed to integrate in one alone language: the drawing 's appearance, the sound 's rhythm and the video's sequence.
