This movie made alot of folks aware of Mozart when they might not have otherwise. Good thing.

English is not my mother tongue, but yes, the general ideia is that music from a «rusty squeeze-box» would not flow naturally but would instead be painful to listen to. Ignoranceandwant is right. Cheers.

F. Murray Abraham who plays Salieri, won the Academy Award for Best Actor in Amadeus. This scene, in my opinion, gives overwhelming proof on why he won it. A well deserved Oscar!

This was the first "historical drama" I saw when I was about 8, in the theaters. I never bored with it once, despite having a 5 second attention span at the time. It was THAT GOOD. And I have absolutely adored Mozart's music ever since.Amazing movie, amazing actors, and an amazing soundtrack. Thanks for posting!

A squeezebox is generally a synonym for an accordion.
