Greetings to Germany. American social dance is a bit different. You guys would probably be doing International style foxtrot which wouldn't close the feet together on the 3rd step.Click the blong206b link on my video and look for my basic american foxtrot videos.Look up luca and lorraine barrichi for some real dancing. They have an awesome International Foxtrot aka Slow Fox.best wishes

I'm demoing American Style, (of which there are two actually, if you consider the Fred Astaire method). It's in the description. You can add a link to a good International Rumba teaching or performance if you wish.I happen to like Fundamentals of Rumba by derbeno for a nice afro-cuban style.I may hazard an International Rumba Demo myself at some point.

this is not the rumba, the rumba has a 1 2 3 4 pause, 1 2 3 4 pause beat and you never put your heel down. You start with basic cha cha cha and with mans right heel off floor then once heel goes down thats on first beat, then left foot forward on 2nd beat, then back on right heel for 3rd beat and then slide left foot back but on ball of foot and NOT heel for 4th beat thus you are ready for 1st beat of next movement which is when you place weight on left foot.

Well... this is only bronze level rumba. And done nicely I think, you can't do much yet in bronze level, so this is expected. This is def. rumba thou, just beginers rumba.

What??First= This looks like some kind of cha cha, not rumba. There so many links to videos of real rumba.Second= In matter of fact, there is a dance style called rumba which is composed by at least three different styles. That dance is part of the traditional cuban dances. |
