Sure, there are many Queen songs Bono couldn't pull off. I was responding to the post that no one can equal Freddie. Just stating that the opposite is true as well. There's no mathematical formula for figuring out who is better. It's all opinion. I think they both were amazing on this day.

And of course Freddy Mercury is an absolute genius...there is no doubt. And sure, they could have ruled the day, and maybe they did...comparing perfection to perfection is an exercise more suitable to combatants...enjoy both performances for sure! And guess what? It's very real and was! That's what you can't find anymore, genuine people who care for each other. Wonderful stuff kids:)It will all come back, you just have to care a bit for your fellow man (and woman). I digress.....still, enjoy!

Well...I understand and appreciate any and all debates...it's not a contest, but I can tell you, without any reservations, and only from my perspective, that this day, this performance, was the greatest ever...remember, you had to 'be' there...the day, that day, and this performance, emotions and all things considered, was the greatest that I have ever seen....and I have not seen everything, but I have seen a lot. ok...politically correct division...just enjoy it and know a bit about it, thanks!

just as there are several songs of Freddie's that Bono couldn't pull off....so what

Freddie or anyone else couldn't pull off what Bono does here. Just try to imagine Freddie in place of Bono during this performance. Freddie would hardly look natural; he'd look ridiculous. I know some are going to say Bono looks ridiculous, but they're the overwhelming minority.Bono has the ability to be epic and intimate in the span of one song. You see a lot of younger performers copying Bono's moves, but none of them would think of attempting this, much less pull it off.

he is good on live, i agree, but i think no one can equal Freddy we hav to admit it, Bhoemian Raphsody is a masterpiece and so hard to be sang live, and i think Freddy is more natural than Bono, sorry....

I have been a fan for almost 30 years and I am almost soley concerned with the music, but, with regards to Greg Carroll (spelling?), he died in a motorcycle-accident in his native New Zealand...I believe the place was called, 'One Tree Hill', but, leave no doubt that that song is about him.

Love Love Bono and his music. I am a really serious fan of Steve Perry, but lately I must admit I have been cheating a little with Bono!! Can't I have 2 loves? |
