dude where are you getting this shit? cigarettes did not kill elliott smith! he stabbed himself with a knife, in the chest. that wasn't a metaphor. some think it might have been his girlfriend who stabbed him but whatever. regardless, cigarettes had nothing to do with it man. and whether you agree with smoking or not does not give you the right to try and influence someone elses decisions. live your life how you want. or at least let us.

That's very debatable, the cause of Elliot's death, which makes Jim Morrison's death look like an open and shut case. Obviously you care about what I have to say because you have taken the time to so eloquently reply and add such clarity of thought to the debate. What can one say but thank you. Metaphorical poetry is an excellent way to put it. I like your argument that cigarettes are like daggers to the heart, like coffin nails or cancer sticks. Very interesting, crapinyourhand, my friend.

ok first of all cigarettes didn't kill elliott. elliott killed elliott, with a knife to the chest. and second, everything you have said in your comments is pretentious bull shit and all this cloud crap is a really poor attempt at metaphorical poetry or whatever you are trying to pull off. please don't comment on things you don't know about and please, if you have an opinion, ask yourself first if anyone is really going to give a shit before you spill it on us.

does anyone else realise that if he hadn't had a smoke in the last like minute of the video none of this cigarette tobacco company internet arguing would happen. so what, he had a smoke. fuck it. its past, it happened man, get over it. but anyways, on the video, terrible editing, none of what he was doing what linking up to the sound, the last couple minutes of film there was no sound and the last few minutes were blank, so that just sucked. elliott smith is kinda hit and miss with me.

Cigarette smoke can look very much like clouds, very much like the thoughts that Elliot comes up with in this video, it's as if the thoughts are coming into his head, like clouds that drift across the sky, random. It is very pertinent because cigarettes killed Elliot, like they killed many others. We know it's killing us but we smoke anyway. Don't kid yourself, smokers, it is suicide. I get it. I don't smoke either, but this video has nothing to do with smoking. You just pulled the comments about smoking and health out of thin air. I agree. I think smoking is disgusting. However, this is a video about Elliott Smith; not smoking. All I'm saying is that your comments do not pertain to this video.

I appreciate your constructive criticism as well. I mean that with all my buttocks. Now why would anyone put a cigarette in their mouth if they wouldn't in their butt. Think about it, cigarette butt. It's absolutely disgusting and very apt to associate that disgusting white cancer stick with that other stinking thing, the anus or butt. Thank you for your kind comments.

Everyone knows cigarettes are bad for the heart. Usually the heart gets a lot more credit than other organs such as the liver and kidneys. Who says, my kidney bleeds, or I love you with all my liver. But in terms of cigarettes and the damage that they cause, everyone refers to the lungs. I think you've made a very valid point. Thank you for enlightening me and I hope you continue to not smoke, it's not good for your heart. |
