@bobb123678(Since I didn't have enough space in my first post...)The body rebuilding muscles is something it does naturally to protect itself. It happens all the time, naturally. If I'm a delivery man walking up and down stairs all day I'll have strong legs. Cutting is something people normally avoid at all costs unless they're trying to fulfill some kind of "need".They're totally apples and oranges and they're not just a matter of social norms.

So let's imagine for a second that we're "cave people" and we live in an area with several dangerous predators. Which one of us is going to live longer when the tiger comes through the village? The one who spends their time cutting their arms/legs/whatnot or the one who spends their time chasing after rabbits and birds for food? Granted, it's not a great example but I think it does well enough.Citing muscles rebuilding after exercise doesn't seem like a strong argument.
