I have come to think of this song as being inspired, perhaps subconsciously, by religion. 'Everytime I see you falling, I get down on my knees and pray'. It reminds me of the Stations of the Cross. Christ fell three times, carrying the cross on his way to GolGotha. I think the video is distracting, and doesn't carry the meaning of the song very well.
