I kinda agree with you in that. I've always figured conformity was just a way of making people feel comfortable with each other; however sometimes this seems to lead to more harm than good. Sometimes, being too 'respectful' leads to not much self action on the individual's part, rather the action is dictated by the group.I hope that made sense.
